Sponsoring education encompasses everything that makes learning easy for a child; it is not restricted to paying tuition alone.
In fact, according to Anatole France, “education is nine-tenths encouragement” and high up on the list of these “encouragements” is a conducive learning environment.
Even if it wasn’t, the generally sorry state of the learning environment for vulnerable children in Nigeria makes it so.
Most of these schools have gone beyond “dilapidated” to become contraptions and were the primary catalyst for our resolution to renovate low-income schools in the community where the children we serve are.
So far, we have renovated Miracle Land School in Jakande, Global Challenge High School, Ajegunle Tender Hearts Orphans And Vulnerable Children Home(THOVCH) and now, our most recently completed project, JOCHEBED Schools in Badore.
We were able to replace old roofs with new ones, provide better furniture, revamp classrooms, and install better toilets.
There’s no way we could have pulled this fantastic feat off without our generous and supportive partners. We are indeed grateful.
Now, we can’t rest on our oars yet. There’s great work ahead of us. There are scholarships to be awarded, schools to be renovated, and children to be empowered.
Be the ‘I’ in KIND today by donating to this worthy cause. Thank you.
